I made a pair of slippers using 12 granny squares from a really fun tutorial on purlbee.com (you can get check it out by clicking the photo).
If you can double and single crochet, you can make these slippers. So easy, and so cute.
Four of each of these squares made slippers… Who knew?
I used Red Heart Super Saver in Lt. Periwinkle, Turqua, and Lavender.
granny squares.
i was OBSESSED with making these for a while. truth be told, i still am. they are the perfect project for public-transit-crocheting — small, portable and satisfying (if you see a weird girl wearing a bright orange tuque, crocheting furiously on the ttc, that’s me). and they can be made into so many things: blankets, bags, shawls, you get the idea. they’re very ‘modular’, if you will.
i love the geometry of them
and the simplicity of their pattern
and the endless variations…never gets old.
